AsteriskNOW 1.5.0-beta2 is immediately available for download at
http://www.asterisknow.org/downloads (existing users can run `yum update` to
keep up with releases). Unless there are any major issues reported, I expect
this to be the final beta release.

It's been a while since AsteriskNOW 1.5.0-beta1 was released, so I wanted to
give an update on how things have been going. In the last few months, we've
gotten some really great feedback from the community. We've also gotten several
bug reports, which have all been relatively minor - hopefully this means we're
doing something right. AsteriskNOW 1.5.0-beta2 corrects many of these issues
and takes much of the feedback into account.

Notable changes since beta1:
  * Updated many packages to latest versions (Asterisk, DAHDI, FreePBX, etc)
  * Asterisk package naming has been changed to allow for better dependency
handling between 1.4 and 1.6. This makes it easy for users to install Asterisk
1.6 and keep everything up to date, without forcing all users to use 1.6.
  * Fixed some permissions issues between Asterisk and httpd/FreePBX.
  * Added packages for some Digium commercial software (codec_g729a and HPEC).
These are not installed by default, but may be obtained with yum.
  * Added drivers for r8101 and r8169 NICs. You will still have issues booting
the installation CD in a system with this NIC. The manufacturer suggested
workaround is to disable the NIC in the BIOS at install time. Once the
installation has been completed, it can be reenabled and the correct driver will
be used. This workaround should no longer be required once CentOS 5.3 is
released.

As always, please use http://bugs.digium.com/ and http://forums.digium.com/ for
issues and feedback - those are monitored regularly. If for some reason neither
of these seem like an appropriate place, please don't hesitate to email me
directly.
