Hello there,
]I just installed a new install of Asterisk Now 1.7. My question concerns
how to make Free PBX work with any browser on any computer? I tried going to
http://ip address/admin as suggested in a quick gide for Asterisk Now but
from my Windows machine I am not able to get Free PBX to answer my http
inquiries from the Windows computer.
Can you ping the pbx? Do you even have basic network connectivity?
is that a firewall issue
Maybe, Maybe not. Depends on how YOU set it up.
or are the firewall rules in place for it to work on any computer.
If the firewall rules are not in place could I please have an explanation
on how to do this?
Do what? Do you want to disable the firewall? If so see
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=disable+centos+5+firewall
You do not provide any useful information in order for anyone to help you.
Is there anything in the logs on the pbx when you try to connect with a
browser?
If you can ping the pbx, I would look at the various logs as described in
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=check+logs+on+centos+5
As a hint you might want to start troubleshooting by running
"tail -F /var/log/messages /var/log/http/*" and then try to connect to the pbx.
Can you connect to the pbx from a different computer? Is there a firewall/router
in between the 2 machines? Is httpd running? "ps auwx | grep http" will tell
you. Is Mysql running? "ps auwx | grep mysql" will tell you.
Remember AsteriskNow is based on Centos5 and as a result ALL COMMANDS and their
arguments are Case Sensitive.
