It is hard to know without more information. Is the channel you are calling it on a DAHDI PRI channel where you would expect it to work? >From what I understand, func_channel should return an empty string for any item not available on the channel. Does that happen and then you just get this warning alongside it? Can you collect and provide debug log showing where this happens?
