All users will dial in to the system as an external user. I figured I will use the analogue card to test my system while we process our request for an internal T1 from the department that handles our voice infrstructure. Once I got the T1, I'll move the analogue card to a "play" box to learn about Asterisk some more.
I haven't thought about the situation about rolling that 49th caller to the second line. I will have to talk to the group that provides our internal T1 on what is possible.

Is the phone company going to roll over the inbound calls to the second

Also, why do you need the analogue card? If you require to connect to
the server as an internal user how are you gonna do this? Will all users
be required to dial in to the system as an external user?
