Replying to my own post, as of revision 92 I include bximage from Bochs 
to create the disk image with proper geometry.  Previous images had some 
issues towards the end of the disk.

bximage is a binary, but it should run on most systems just fine.  It's 
a 12K binary, or 3+ MB of source code.  I'll probably make a target for 
it eventually...
