Hi folks,
This has got to be something incredibly stupid
and obvious that I'm (not) doing, but I Just..
Can't.. See It.
I'm using AstLinux-0.4.0-sc1100.img on a net4801.
Most things are working great, but I can't figure out
how to get Asterisk to email voicemail messages.
I started out by:
- Configuring voicemail users with email addresses and
such in /etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf
- Configuring SMTP_SERVER, SMTP_DOMAIN, and
SMTP_HOSTNAME in /etc/rc.conf
but that wasn't enough.
I began trying to find the MTA that was to be
used, to try testing that directly -- but I can't
find it. How does AstLinux get email off the
box?
I've mounted AstLinux-0.4.0-sc1100.img
on a loop device and used 'find / ..' and
'grep -r ..' all over the place, but I can find
no 'ssmtp' program, no 'sendmail' program,
and no sign of anything reading the
/tmp/etc/msmtprc file that /etc/init.d/misc writes.
On the other hand, I've done
$ telnet MYMAILSERVER 25
from the net4801 and successfully sent
an email doing the HELO and so forth
by hand, so I'm fairly confident this isn't
a network/firewall issue.
People must be getting email off of
boxes running the 0.4.0 image, right?
How does it work?
Looking for any suggestions! I'm going nuts!
Thanks so much,
- Dave
