Hello !

I don't know if using the atheros cards with Astlinux will be any different from other Linux distros. Haven't tried with Astlinux but for Centos 4.3 I use this info:

http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs

I dont remember the commands exactely here and now, but I think the irst step will be
so ensure that the madwifi driver is bult in and loaded: modprobe ath_ide
(or something like that.)

Then it is to start it up: ifconfig ath0 up (as I can remember it ..)

There will also be some certain problems if it shall work as a wireless contact point,
but I think that the driver documentation should cover it all.

Best reg Arne.

Hi Folks,

I installed 0.4.0 last night on my test/demo 4801. Seeing that it can do
WiFi via an Atheros card I installed one but cannot get it to work.

Anyone got a howto or details on getting it to work? I understand that
MadWiFi is involved.

Thanks

Mark
