Please forgive my inexpereience with Linux. This is bound to be a simple question.
I need to get the FTP service on my Soekris/Astlinux box working in order to centrally provision some Aastra phones. According to the web admin screen I'm running 0.3.0. I have not moved to 0.4.0 as I use the Digium g.729a codec. I have the service running and can log into the box using an ftp client....but I see no files. Reading through some old messages I saw that the root folder for the ftp service corresponds to the login name. For now I'm just using the admin login. Even so in the home dir there was no root folder, so I created one at mnt/kd/home/root/ and put my files in there. I knew enough that I made the folder on the kd then rebooted the system. However, the contents of that folder never get copied into /tmp/root Also, the web admin access to the ftp service generates a php error. It does show the "parent" link and when I click that I can go up one level to see the home folder, and a link to root. I guess I'm confused now. Can someone advise me how to proceed?
