Just put an 'a' extension in your dialplan (on modern versions of asterisk) pointed to VoicemailMain. Just dial in to your system, go to your own VM, and hit * while you listen to your own greeting. You should then go right into VoiceMailMain to retrieve/manage your messages.
For instance, add an extension like this one in the appropriate context: exten => a,1,VoicemailMain exten => a,n,Hangup The syntax on this may not be perfect (I'm away from a computer at the moment), but that's the basic idea. -Matt Sent wirelessly via BlackBerry -----Original Message----- From: Seth Fulton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 18 Aug 2006 14:56:55 To:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Astlinux-users] dialin voicemail access I would like to be able to dial into my asterisk server from a standard POTS phone, press # or * to interrupt my voicemail greeting, and check my voicemail after entering in a security code. Is it possible to set this up on astlinux? I was unable to dig up any howtos on the mailing lists, or asterisk forums, or voip-info.org -Seth begin:vcard fn:Seth Fulton n:Fulton;Seth org:Seth Fulton IT Services adr;dom:#157;;3802 Rosecrans St;San Diego;CA;92110 email;internet:[EMAIL PROTECTED] title:IT Professional tel;work:888-241-4524 x-mozilla-html:TRUE url:http://www.srfit.com version:2.1 end:vcard _______________________________________________ Astlinux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.kriscompanies.com/mailman/listinfo/astlinux-users Donations to support AstLinux are graciously accepted via PayPal to [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Astlinux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.kriscompanies.com/mailman/listinfo/astlinux-users Donations to support AstLinux are graciously accepted via PayPal to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
