Thank you gents, I will get on to it. I actually dont need static mapping as I am trying to automate the configuration of phones. Snom phones require option 66 and 67 and look fairly simple to auto configure.
Thanks again for a fantastic product. I'm assuming you want to assign static IP addresses via the MAC address? dnsmasq is more than capable of doing this. Since there are so many options available, it's better for you to create this static portion and have it appended to the config file created by Astlinux at boot up rather than try to account for every possible option in rc.conf. If you want to temporarily test this, you can edit the dnsmasq.conf file which resides at /tmp/etc/. This file is created dynamically so it will be deleted at boot. To assign a static IP addresses to a host, add the following to your /tmp/etc/dnsmasq.conf file dhcp-host=00:04:f2:81:d8:25,192.168.28.222,Computer1 dhcp-host=00:40:01:25:88:ff,192.168.28.10,PrinterServer dhcp-host=MACADDRESS,IPADDRESS,hostname There are several other options that can be passed to dnsmasq. Following the link that Harry pointed out will help. The docs are actually quite good.
