Hi All,

I have downloaded the i586 image and use Physdiskwrite to write it on the USB drive. I have set my server BIOS to boot from the USB drive and it works.

But… I get confused when the GRUB asks me to choose from 5 different options to boot. All the documentation I can find said I should choose the one says “Boot from USB”, it sounds simple… but there are 2 “Boot from USB” options listed here:

-         Boot from USB, IDE CF/HD KeyDisk

-         Boot from USB, Use third partition for KeyDisk

Which one should I choose? And also I tried both and it always gives me this error message at the end:

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8,1)

Any help will be appreciated. I also curious that I might download the wrong Image for USB drive? Or is the “boot from USB” function still not correct in 0.4.3?

Regards,

Denny
