Please consider adding Arno's firewall as part of the standard build.  
It takes very little space on the image and simplifies advanced firewall 
options.  I also had one person contact me frustrated with the via image 
because "they didn't get anything on the screen when they booted".  I 
explained it was because the default 'via' target has a console on the 
serial port only.  I guess I don't see why we can't have both?  If most 
laptops had a serial port it wouldn't matter as much, but fewer and 
fewer models do.

The frustrated person ended up using the geni586 image instead.

For my personal user base, I can maintain a custom image with the 
options changed to allow a console on both the serial port and tty1.
