Hello everyone,
Everything that has been broken in trunk has now been fixed. I will be
working mostly on trunk over the next few weeks, hopefully to release
0.5 with all of the new enhancements that have been coming along in
trunk. These include:
- kernel 2.6.18
- LOCALDNS support
- netmon - a monitor script to "aggressively" attempt to re-establish
internet connections (DHCP, PPPoE, etc)
- failover between multiple internet connections (needs testing, and
enhancements - support for DHCP, PPPoE, better logging/control.)
- new LED class support for Soekris and PC Engines WRAP boards
- working TDMoE
- official support for Gumstix
trunk still includes Asterisk 1.2.13. I would like to get a release
out BEFORE Asterisk 1.4 drops so that we can find and eliminate any
AstLinux/kernel/etc specific bugs before Asterisk 1.4 problems start to
creep in.
trunk also includes some cool experimental new things - iaxmodem, efax
and more. They aren't built by default, but please build them and
report back here. What gets included in the release (binaries) will
depend on your feedback, so now is the time to let me know what you
would like 0.5 to be like.
