Damien, Welcome to Astlinux. The mailing list you just subscribed to is being phased out. Please subscribe to the list on Sourceforge. https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/astlinux-users In response to your question, Astlinux is a compact Linux distribution built on buildroot2 which uses uclibc instead of glibc. Astlinux is designed with VOIP as the primary use, although there are two current firewall options (a minimal firewall astfw and a more full-featured firewall script Arno's IPtables Firewall script). Openvpn, raccoon, stunnel are all included for vpn access. Obviously Asterisk is available. OpenSER is available in the development environment, but not included by default in the downloadable image. We are nearing the release of 0.4.5 which will include the latest version of Asterisk and Zaptel. > I've got a rack mount system with 4 ports and a place for compact flash. > It's currently running IPCop. I'm sure this will work with Astlinux. > Well, I hope. Depending on your specific hardware, Astlinux should work for you. Please subscribe to the other list and ask any other questions you may have there.
