Are there any sysadmin types out there that are comfortable patching scripts, tweaking Makefiles, and doing other sort of porting work?
There are some cleanups that would be really helpful to do, but they'd take a long time to do (fortunately they can be broken into little chunks and done incrementally). I could do them myself (and have done some of them already), but there's some other stuff that is taking more of my time and focus (like NAT issues, configuration management, updating the kernel, memory leaks, etc). If you're not sure if you're up to it, but want to give something back to the project and figure, "hey, why not?" ... just send me an email. If you're lacking in experience but are diligent, then I'm sure I could help you get up to speed...
