Next stage in my AstLinux saga. As previously reported I can successfully
boot the .iso I built myself in a VMWare machine. However I am having
problems installing that onto the virtual hard drive. I did figure out that
I needed to create it as an IDE drive, not SCSI, but still when I boot the
livecd with "install" at the boot prompt I get the following messages before
failure...

You have selected to install AstLinux to your hard drive.
Attempting to find hard drive(s)...
I have found the following drives:
 hda

Which drive would you like to install to?
Please choose: hda
Continuing with install to hda
Created RamDisk successfully!
cp: cannot stat '/cdrom/root.squashfs': No such file or directory
dd: can't open '/tmp/root.squashfs': No such file of directory
Install failed.
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Then the VM hangs.

Any advice on how to install to hard disk. Do I even need to? (I want any
changes to config files that I make to be permanent)

Thanks,
David
