I suspect that a SATA drive and Runnix don't mix very well. I've had AstLinux 0.4.x and 0.3.x running fine on a SATA drive for some time, but using the Runnix scheme has been a non-starter. I tried Darrick's newer images: 1873, 1907, 1924, and 1934 using a variety of installation methods... Windows, dd, etc, without success. I know that its getting stuck in runnix because a 'cat /proc/cmdline' shows:
initrd=runnix.img root=/dev/ram0 rw init=/runnix runimg=auto console=tty0 rootdelay=10 BOOT_IMAGE=runnix which is the runnix environment, whereas astlinux's command line contains a version like: ... astlinux=geni586 astimg=astlinux-0.6-1934.run astkd=auto asturw=auto... My test systems don't have any IDE controllers/interfaces, and are modern desktops. Roland Roehrich Justin Coffi wrote: > I've found that the image doesn't copy over correctly when using dd.
