I have managed to locate a few adapters that plug directly onto the motherboard and hold a CF card, though the last ones I got from Hong King do NOT work, and I have had little time to investigate. > A PCI expansion housing is available to house a zaptel TDM card. Seems recently the ONLY expansion kits available are for the 5720. The earlier case style 5700 and 5710, as well as the 5500 series are extinct now. > I mod the device with a molex connector soldered to the main +12V PSU > feed to power the TDM card. Same here. Have been unable to find a source of +12VDC that is switched, though since the unit remains powered most of the time that is a minor issue. There are also cheap converters available on eBay that will power from 48VDC and 24VDC quite nicely. Many of these are sold missing the power supply, and one wonders where they are all hiding!!

I use DSL, install runnix, then either the 0.5 or 0.6 tar file and all is well. I am unable to use the img version of the 0.6-geni586 Installing runnix then the tar file works fine though. Also keep in mind that there are what seems to be major differences between the 5700, 5710 and more obviously the 5720. Once I build a working CF card, I can transfer between the 5510,5520, 5710 and 5720 with no errors though. Another curiosity I have recently run across is in the last distributed 0.5 build, when loading asterisk, the app_macro.so application fails to load when doing an auto load. Adding a load statement in the modules.conf fixes that.
