HI. thanks so much for the community. I have a very important question that I already made but no answer and should be a easy question for pros like you. so please if you have this question please share itthe thing is that I install astlinux, it is said that the astlinux by default is PBX-only so I dont need router or firewall. but the default install. does not allow me to receive incoming call by default it sounds busy I send this problem to the ISP of my sip provider. they have installed astlinux too. to make test. and they are experiment the same as me. no incoming calls by default are allowed. so my question is simple. How I Can revert this and allow incoming calls ?????I repeat I dont need router or firewall. Only pbx-onlyif by default the pbx block incoming calls. how lot ot people users can make their pbx allow incoming calls. please share that info. to help people new with astlinux that have same problemthanks so much
What does your sip.conf and extensions.conf look like? You will need to set those up for your specific application. Also, if you are logged into the console and running the command "asterisk -rvvvvvvv", is there any indication on the console about what Asterisk is doing when you try to make the call?
I will have to say that when I first brought up my net5501 with AstLinux all I did was the basic install followed by installing my specific Asterisk .conf files and it worked "out of the box".
I did spend some preparation time creating new .conf files by merging my old Asterisk v1.2 .conf file information into the default Asterisk v1.4 .conf files so that any v1.2 -> v1.4 Asterisk issues were at least examined prior to trying to bring things up. But that was a site specific issue for me and would not be a problem in the general case.
