The ALIX boards seem like a better host for about the same price. Multiple onboard NICs is great.
Of course, I've ponied up $350 for a FIT-PC2 just cuz the fool thing is so teeny & cute! The HDMI output means that I can repurpose it into out TV room later on if I desire. I can imagine it used to facilitate video conf on our 42" Sharp Aquos TV.
