I very much appreciate that you are taking time to look into this--thank
you! I have some Linux knowledge, and am more than happy to test/try
anything that you've got. One final experiment that I'm going to try is to
clone my current working version of AstLinux onto a different CF disk.
Assuming that works, I think that is the final variable.
