There are some of these bug reports. However only very few people comment and there is never a resolution posted. That is, why I guess that it is only a very few people that experience that problem, probably using a specific distro that has res_http_post disabled.
It seems from posts in the net that e.g. trixbox also uses res_http_post without problems. So it would be nice to try.
