Hi Rodney,

Sorry to hear about the 1.x AstLinux not booting on your hardware.  In general 
1.x boots on more hardware than 0.7.x did, but that is little comfort to you. 
:-)

My only suggestion is to post (or send me privately) a "lspci -vv" output from 
your working 0.7.9, possibly we can determine if a kernel driver is missing.

FYI, 0.7.x used an old, now deprecated IDE and 1.x uses the newer LIBATA, this 
text explains it well:

        • IDE (CONFIG_IDE) provides the old IDE subsystem (/dev/hdX), 
considered as legacy code.
        • LIBATA is the new subsystem (/dev/sdX - though supports IDE as well) 
with new features, but some old IDE systems might not work with it.
