AstLinux supports that NIC...

pbx ~ # zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_SIS900
CONFIG_SIS900=m

Since it is "m" (a module) it needs to be modprobe'd by editing the 
/etc/rc.modules file by using the console (video or serial) and add a line 
"sis900" (without quotes).

You can test first via the console type "modprobe sis900" and your ethernet 
port should come alive, the above makes it persistent across reboots.
