Thanks Lonnie The APU does have an SD card slot and you can purchase SLC SD cards. Do you think this is a viable option? Is it any less reliable than CF?

The drive reached 66 C at one point. But no issues. The 2.5" version in a Lanner Atom C2358 box and runs only 2 C above "SYS Temp (typically 45 C)" around 47 C. The drive's S.M.A.R.T max was only 51 C at one point. I realize the APU1 begs for a mSATA, though it seems in my testing the 2.5" version does run cooler since the plastic case is insulating and is often mounted somewhat away from the heat.
