Mehdi, Yes this is possible if you meant to say re-compiling the AstLinux development environment using Ubuntu/Centos.
Fair warning, this is for an experienced Linux user with some development skills. Here was a similar question on the mailing list... Need dial pulsing on E&M T1 channels -- need to recompile DAHDI http://sourceforge.net/p/astlinux/mailman/message/34066818/ You would need to create a patch to "libpri" in a similar manor. BTW, this sort of conversation is best on the "astlinux-devel" list.
