I don't use this particular box but also to concur that I have never lost a PC 
Engines box except for the one that was hit by lightning, and that was only the 
eth0 port.

same experience on my end..  i had 3 in the field.. 2 were lost when the phone 
room temp went consistently above 80 degrees for the summer months.  the other 
is still in service, however in a very controlled IT environment.

we havent yet lost any APU or APU2 boards and have 100s out in the field, some 
in pretty crappy environments..  all are PC-engines mini cases mounted to UTR-1 
vented rack-shelves for additional passive cooling

our Soekris NET5501 boxes are slowly losing their CF cards after 7-8 years in 
the field now..  boards are still just fine..

We have had multiple reports that after 3-5 years of use, this appliance fails.

Presumably heat related.

If you have this appliance in production, consider replacing it.
