AstLinux version 1.3.10 and newer uses a different unionfs driver (FUSE based), so the old whiteout files (ex. .wh.__dir_opaque) are no longer used/needed. These whiteout files are of zero size, so the simplest is to ignore them. If you want to remove the old whiteout files, you can.
