Dave,

I am the author of ASynK. There is a separate mailing list for discussing
ASynK related topics. I have copied that list and moved bbdb-info to Bcc.

I am sorry you are having trouble setting up ASynK. It's not as
straightforward as it could be, and it's something that I may fix in the
future (years :-)

Getting prompted for gc credentials twice is a problem. Can you send me
suitably anonimized ~/.asynk/state.json file for the profile you created?
The documentation has a bunch of recipes at this location:
http://asynk.io/doc/asynk/asynk_6.html If you want to try some of them out,
suggest you start from a clean slate by rolling back the clock on the
gc side. It will, at a minimum, make debugging earlier. I am happy to help
you get this to a running state.
