Hi

I know this is not the forum for bug reports, but maybe you can point me
to the right place, and maybe also tell me what information you need.

After upgrading to Ubuntu Netbook Remin 9.10rc (from UNR 9.04), the
harddisk led light up every 5 to 15 seconds and stay on in 5 to 15
seconds. I narrowed it down to be related to wifi.

If wifi is deactivated - disabled in network-manager, turned off on the
computer, or if I remove ath5k with "modprobe -r" - the hd-activity
stop. There are no problems if I use cabled network.

I think everything looks okay.

[...] ath5k 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 18
[...] ath5k 0000:03:00.0: setting latency timer to 64
[...] ath5k 0000:03:00.0: registered as 'phy0'
[...] ath: EEPROM regdomain: 0x65
[...] ath: EEPROM indicates we should expect a direct regpair map
[...] ath: Country alpha2 being used: 00

[...] HDA Intel 0000:00:1b.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16
[...] HDA Intel 0000:00:1b.0: setting latency timer to 64
[...] phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'minstrel'
[...] Registered led device: ath5k-phy0::rx
[...] Registered led device: ath5k-phy0::tx
[...] ath5k phy0: Atheros AR2425 chip found (MAC: 0xe2, PHY: 0x70)

I have not seen anything indicating something wrong in any logs, but
maybe I am looking the wrong places?

The computer is a Packard Bell Dot - it is a Acer Aspire One clone
(DOA150) and the wifi-card is Atheros AR5001.
