Hello,

I have an eee pc 904h with an Atheros Communications Inc. AR5001
Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01), and, since linux-2.6.32, I'm
experiencing two distinct problems:

 - "wpa_cli reassociate" doesn't work any longer: it will try to
authenticate but I keep getting an "authentication timeout" error.
In order to reassociate I need to first disconnect and then to
   reconnect;

 - the card does not recognize the fact that I moved to a different
wireless network and whenever the network changes the only way to
connect is to manually run "wpa_cli disconnect" followed by a
   "wpa_cli reconnect".

Everything used to work fine with the linux-2.6.31.x series - except
for some occasional crash of the kernel while suspending to ram. If I
switch back to 2.6.31.x, with the unmodified wpa_supplicant
configuration, everything works as expected, and that makes me think
this could be a driver issue.

I reported the problem before 2.6.32 was out (I was testing the
linux-wireless git repository since I needed AP mode support at that
time, and it was added by 2.6.31) but I was not able to provide the
developers with useful information.[1] I seem to be the only one
experiencing this problem, or at least I'm not able to find, with
google, someone else reporting such issues.

I'm trying again, maybe with some more luck.

TIA for any help you could provide: now I'm in a situation in which
running a 2.6.31.x kernel could be troublesome somehow.

Andrea
