I downloaded VMware and .iso image from Aircrack site: http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=install_aircrack#installing_vmware_image >> http://download.aircrack-ng.org/vmware-aircrack-ng-v4.7z Using VMware I can deattach device from windows XP and attach device to the virtual machine, so it is listed in the menu of VMware but is not listed in "ifconfig". I tried to install drivers to this network card from here: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k Downloaded, untared, seleced driver and tried to make: "ERROR: compat-wireless by default supports kernels >- 2.6.24" Checked virtual machine kernel version: uname -r 2.6.23 STUCK. Don't know how to install drivers to this card? Any no-brainer solutions?
