As I said in my last post, I will no longer promote most Accessible World
events here. No more cozy kitchen, no more issues facing blind people, no more
book groups other than the romance literature group, etc. I will promote the
events that either Bonnie Blose or I do, but that’s it. I will be doing a
classroom of the air program on the 31st that I will promote later in a formal
announcement, but that’s it. I’ve heard from some people that they think that
Accessible World is some kind of club or clique that you have to join. It’s
not. Anyone with a computer, a working microphone and the talking communities
software can attend any Accessible World event. I guess you could say that the
regular attendees have come to know and befriend each other, but that’s open to
anyone who comes to the events. However, from now on, with very few exceptions,
you’ll have to go to the web site, www.accessibleworld.org, and subscribe to
the mailing lists that interest you. This should now be in compliance with what
the list moderators say they want.
