Hello Ann, I live in Oregon and about 3 years ago I bought a talking microwave 
made by Hamilton Beach at Wall Mart for $75 on sale.  It still works great and 
has good power output.

I’ve seen them with dials at Wall-mart for as low as $40.  Only problem with 
these are that they are very low powered, say 600 watts, and that really isn’t 
enough.  Puffy paint isn’t so bad.  The only things I marked are the minute 
button, start, and stop.
