Hi John,

If this is Windows Live Mail or outlook Express you are talking about, it’s
been doing this since Jaws 12. It’s actually improve in the last 2 updates to
Jaws 13.924 because before it wouldn’t read the whole Windows Live Mail
message. It would start in the middle. So I think they are aware of it, and
there’s nothing more you can do. I tried changing text out delay in advanced
settings and it didn’t help. That program may be as good as it’s going to get
with Jaws at this point. I just stop reading with control, and start it myself
with insert down arrow when it gets annoying. Make sure you have the latest
Jaws.

Subject: [ATI] JAWS Question

We just installed Jaws Version 13 with the latest update. I notice that
sometimes when I open an email, JAWS first reads a small portion from the
middle or bottom of the message before beginning at the top of the message. Not
always just sometimes and not always on the same email. This is just a bit
annoying. Is there a setting that would correct this? John
