Have you tried loading Jaws 13 and see if you get the same error? Not that this would be a solution, but it might narrow down the issue.

Subject: [ATI] odd Jaws and Windows Media Player problem I have a Jaws user that rips and burns disks using Windows Media Player. The person has a new laptop with Windows 7, 64 bit, latest version of Jaws and WMP. After ripping CD's for about 2 to 3 weeks with NO issues at all, Windows Media Player all of a sudden starting generating an error of WMP has stopped working upon startup of WMP. There is no other error message other than WMP has stopped working. If Jaws is running and he starts WMP, WMP simply won't work. If he starts WMP first and then Jaws, WMP will work just fine. Right now he simply turns Jaws off, starts WMP and starts Jaws. As far as I can tell, no windows updates occurred. We've done lots of troubleshooting as well as restoring computer back to an earlier time before this happened to no avail. Freedom Scientific is stumped and says it's not a Jaws problem. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you found a solution.
