Hello everyone, This upcoming weekend Rick and I will begin the process of moving into a new home. We are downsizing. One of the things that is going to happen is that our Internet Service Provider is going to change from AT&T to Charter and so, of course, our e-mail addresses are going to change. I want to hopefully make this transition as smooth as possible. Any suggestions? I do have a gmail account, but haven't used it. I went on there this morning and received a notification that my browser will soon not be supported; I have IE9 or IE10; need to check that out, but I was encouraged to switch to another browser, such as Google Chrome, of course, since it's a Google product, I'm sure. Does Google Chrome work with screenreaders? I have Microsoft Office 10 products, including Outlook. Would that work with a Gmail e-mail account? Or should I pray that the Charter tech knows something about Outlook and trust them to set up my Outlook with Charter? I've heard from a couple people that they had no problems with the Charter folks, but then I've known of nightmare stories, too.
I was able to navigate the Gmail e-mail account on the Web, but would prefer to use my Outlook with whatever e-mail I decide to use. Thoughts? Suggestions? My sbcglobal.net address will be no good as of 8/16, so I have a few days to figure this out. Judy _______________________________________________ ATI (Adaptive Technology Inc.)
