Google chrome is a web browser.  I think there is a screen reader that can
be downloaded to use it, but the download has to be done using the chrome
browser, which from what I know, doesn't work without it.
If you are talking about just the search engine, you can use internet
explorer or firefox and do searches just fine on google.com.
