Truthfully when you have a prime membership even if the stuff is slightly higher the free shipping makes up for it. The one thing people don't realize is sometimes prices are higher on the first page but if you keep looking you can find them lower. We used Amazon for a lot in remodeling our house. We bought things that were inconvenient or unable to be brought home by paratransit or a taxi. We bought our stainless steel sink, our bar stools and a lot of big stuff not to mention large amounts of cat food. Its great in the winter when you can't get out. Of course everyone has their own way of shopping and some people like going to individual companies but I love the free shipping and believe me we made up the cost of membership in free shipping.
