The information below is specifically for the iPhone, but the link to find
movies is good for anyone using Netflix on their PC or anywhere else. There
are already 39 titles available.

Greg,
Here is a brief guide I wrote from another list on Netflix. It should help
with walking through the process of looking at the list of audio described
movies, searching for one, and turning on the audio description.
qqq
Recently Netflix, the online streaming and mail order movie service, started
offering described movies and TV shows. For those unaware of described
videos or audio description, this is an audio track that is played within a
movie where a narrator describes what is happening on the screen. Both total
blinded and fully sighted individuals have benefited from this type of
programming, especially with so many graphics and items in movies.
To focus on Netflix, here is a link to the current list of movies and TV
shows you can watch online with a subscription with audio description:
http://www.netflix.com/browse/audio-description
To focus on how to start listening to the audio description track on an
iPhone/iPad, here is a basic list of steps:
• Open the Netflix app on your iPhone or iPad
• Find one of the movies or TV shows listed in this link,
http://www.netflix.com/browse/audio-description
• To quickly search, find the unlabeled button on the top left corner of the
screen, Voice Over will just say “Button,” and double tap on that
• Find the search Button on the top right corner and double tap on that
(Voice Over)
• In the search text box, type in the name of the program you found on the
Netflix Audio Description webpage and play the movie
• During movie playback, double tap on the screen (Voice Over) to bring up
the playback controls
• In the Top middle right offset of the screen, about 1/4th of the way from
the right corner to the middle, double tap (Voice Over) on the button for
Language Settings
• From the list, select English, Audio Description, and then done.
This should start the audio Description track to begin playing on your
Netflix movie. Additionally, I have noticed that after doing this a couple
of times, Netflix, by default, started playing the English, Audio
Description, track by default. Here is the Netflix link for their current
offering of Audio Described movies:
http://www.netflix.com/browse/audio-description
Enjoy,
Tim
