Subject: [ATI] Creating A Note In Outlook

Creating A Note In Outlook

A little known handy feature in all versions of Outlook, with the exception
of Outlook Express, are the notes. These are much like a sticky note you
would write for phone numbers, addresses or other information.

To create a note in Outlook do the following...

While in Outlook do a control shift N.

This will open a blank edit field where you can type in information.

For this example we will use my name, address and phone number.

Your cursor is at the top of the blank note so type in, Denny Huff and press
enter. Just as it would in a Word document the cursor moves down to the
second line.

Type in, PO Box 515 on this line.

St. Clair, MO on the next line and finally my phone number on the last line
which is, 636-262-1383.

When finished press escape.

This will take you back to where you were before you did the control shift N
to create your note.

Let's create another note by doing a control shift N. This time type in
your's or someone elses's address and phone number. Or you could just type
in a name and phone number or whatever information you want in this note.
Just remember that whatever you type in on the first line of the note will
be the title of that note.

When finished press escape.

You can repeat this process as many times as you want.

Now that we have a couple of notes created we are going to open one of those
notes.

Do a control 5 and this will take you to your notes.

You can use your arrow keys to navigate through your notes or you can use
first letter navigation which comes in handy if you have several notes. By
first letter navigation I mean that you can type the first letter of the
title of a note and you will be taken to a note that begins with that
letter.

Once you find the note you want just press enter.

You can now read that note or edit it if you want to make changes. Press
escape to get out of that note.

You can also delete the note simply by highlighting the note name and press
your delete key.

When you want to get out of your notes press control 1 and this will take
you back to your inbox.
