It may not get consensus, but the fact that the current draft provides absolutely no way of updating the metadata for media resources is a significant hole in the spec. In the Atom Feed for media collections, there is currently no way beyond the Title HTTP header on the initial post for atom:title to be set. There is no way for the atom:summary to be set. There is no way for atom:updated to be set.. (what constitutes a significant update of a media resource and who gets to decide?). The -06 draft itself shows an example that has an atom:summary value appearing literally out of nowhere. If APP is going to mandate that these values (other than Title) be server set and that they cannot be changed (by not providing any way of allowing the client to set them), it would be great if that fact was stated in the draft somewhere.
