If the MAY is really intended, please change the rest of the
sentence so that it actually makes sense (here by removing "...zero
or more...").
That seems fine.
I have the feeling that the spec needs to be checked for similar patterns :-)
It does. They may be "bogus", but they are also harmless as long as
they are accurate. Unfortunately, lots of IETF standards have lots of
unneeded capitalized and official-sounding MAYs.
