You have to install the ivtv-kmdl first before installing the ivtv
rpm. If you try to install the ivtv rpm first, it can never really
figure out which kmdl you need.
First, I would heavily recommend Jarod's guide at http://
www.wilsonet.com
Next, use apt-get instead of downloading and installing individual
rpms. Jarod's guide has instructions on getting that going.
Finally, install the packages like this :
apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-`uname -r`
apt-get install ivtv
The first one installs the ivtv-kmdl for your kernel. The second one
will install the general ivtv stuff.
