When a run the package ivtv-0.2.0-69 rc3k.rhfc4.ati386.rpm,it comes back that it needs package ivtv-kmdl-1.0.2.0-69_rc3k.rhfc4.at .... (I can't read
the rest of the file because of the window size)

I can not find this package. Is it on the site or does it still need to be
built. If the latter can you tell me when it will be available?

You have to install the ivtv-kmdl first before installing the ivtv rpm. If you try to install the ivtv rpm first, it can never really figure out which kmdl you need.

First, I would heavily recommend Jarod's guide at http:// www.wilsonet.com

Next, use apt-get instead of downloading and installing individual rpms. Jarod's guide has instructions on getting that going.

Finally, install the packages like this :

apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-`uname -r`
apt-get install ivtv

The first one installs the ivtv-kmdl for your kernel. The second one will install the general ivtv stuff.

Good luck!
