hmm my  smart upgrade --check
shows: "No interesting upgrades available."
I wonder what it means by interesting...?
perhaps my repo's aren't set:
cmd: smart channel --show
[rpm-db]
type = rpm-sys
name = RPM Database

Is this correct?
Thanks
Paul

what is the smart equivalent of
yum check-update?
and how do I display my current channels or repo?

note I have the atrpms-package-config install

Use smart --help and then smart command --help. E.g. what you want are

smart channel --show
smart upgrade --check

Thanks

looks like there is a migration to smart as the preferred tool, is there
a simple setup to migrate to smart
ie
what commands do I need to issue to allow smart to search for
fedora-updates + extras + atrpms?

Do you have atrpms-package-config installed? Then it's just

yum install smart smart-gui
(or if you don't want the gui don't install it)

The either use

smart update
smart upgrade/install/...

or

smart --gui
