Hi, I'm having an issue upgrading my systems and found the following related to upgrading the kernel.
Error: Missing Dependency: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 is needed by package nvidia-graphics100.14.09-kmdl-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 Error: Missing Dependency: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 is needed by package nvidia-graphics100.14.11-kmdl-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 Error: Missing Dependency: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 is needed by package gspcav1-kmdl-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 The above concerns packages already installed on my system, so the error is quite confusing. It made me believe Yum was trying to remove my running kernel. I wondered why yum would have these missing dependencies when upgrading to the latest kernel and found that it could be solved by installing the nvidia kmdl package for the latest kernel without even installing that kernel (seems the nvidia kmdl package doesn't require the kernel to be installed somehow). After installing the nvidia kmdl package, upgrading of the kernel went fine. Is there a problem with the nvidia kmdl package or do I need something else to pull in this package automatically when a kernel upgrade is available ? regards, Marcel _______________________________________________ atrpms-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-users
