After clearing out the wrong (i586) kernel and un-installing and re-installing I now have
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ yum list nvidia*
Installed Packages
nvidia-graphics-devices.noarch           1.0-5.fc7              installed
nvidia-graphics-helpers.i386             0.0.22-23.fc7          installed
nvidia-graphics100.14.19-kmdl-2.6.23.1-2 1:100.14.19-92.fc7     installed
nvidia-graphics100.14.19-libs.i386       1:100.14.19-92.fc7     installed
At startx, I get
"dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//nvidia_drv.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory".

Notice the // between drivers and nvidia_drv.so

When I do a locate nvidia_drv.so, I find it at

/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so

WITHOUT the double /
Any idea where that line of code lives?
