Solved it. Apparently there was something in my alsa.conf that caused this. I replaced my alsa.conf by the alsa.conf.rpmsave one that was on my machine and it started to work properly. So, after all a pretty well upgrade of FC7 to F8 I think. Only one tiny issue so far. My DVB-C and IVTV card worked immediately and so did mythtv. I upgraded FC7 directly via the net and before starting the upgrade I set up the ATrpms and freshrpms repositories so that it would upgrade all packages. Besides a few things that I had to remove before I could continue the upgrade, the upgrade itself (about 1700 package) went very smooth (although taking a long time mostly because rpm/yum is rather slow). Anyway, I performed upgrades like to above now on several machines and all went through it just fine. I don't think I will ever upgrade for DVD anymore, just having one around in case something breaks. regards, Marcel _______________________________________________ atrpms-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-users
