Hello Guys,

I am using latest packaged mplayer: mplayer-1.0-74_snap20100403.fc12.i686 . Also my nvidia drivers are the latest packaged drivers for PAE kernel 195.36.24 . The graphic card is gt220 with following capabilities :

Having said all that , when trying mplayer with : mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo vdpau -vc ffh264vdpau , I get no video . I remember getting it a few months ago , with earlier mplayer and earlier nvidia . I used that line in mythtv to launch some of my films , now they will not run . The only way to get them working is to : mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo vdpau -vc ffh264 . This I believe means that I am doing sw decoding instead of hw and using the CPU rather than the Graphic Card . Which is not what I would like to do . Has anybody noticed similar issues ? Or am I doing something wrong . If there is an issue would it be in the nvidia driver or mplayer it self ? Can it be a fault or perhaps compilation options ? Any info greatly appreciated .

Best Regards
Milorad
