To add to this: in chasing an 'illegal instruction' problem with timestretch I installed 0.24 on an old 1GHz Celeron CentOS 5 box. It struggles, but it works. But there is a problem on that box with screen painting during the 'setup' modes in both mythtvsetup and frontend. Multipage screens are painted on top of each other and become almost impossible to use. Video is Intel810.

This looks as if it might be related to the 'LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=1' setting that was already in place on the P4 box but not for the Celeron. Without it both mythtvsetup aand mythfrontend just report a lock problem and exit. With it the problem is still reported but execution then continues.
